With an emphasis but not exclusive focus on morphometrics, this thread examines the interior populations of Alaska's grizzly bears. By in large, the professional literature refer to interior brown bear (Ursus arctos) as grizzly bears while often their larger coastal coastal cousins are referred to as brown bears. For clarification, the same understanding is applied here.
