For Ursus thibetnus the largerst condylobasal length is 413.5mm I guess it was captive-bred specimens ?

Very difficult to contest Boone & Crocket North American Records but I am surprised there is an absence of black bear trophy skulls from Haida Gwaii (Queen Charlotte Islands) and Newfoundland Canada.

For Ursus thibetnus the largerst condylobasal length is 413.5mm Ok,recenty I examed the skull numbered 09437(with a condylobasal length 413.5mm)and I fiound it is in fact no more than a brown bear .So Asian black bears may never achieve a condylobasal length with 413.5mm.

For Ursus thibetnus the largerst condylobasal length is 413.5mm I have obtained earlier this literature but at the moment do not have access to the data. Please correct and advice me where necessary but this data does not include entire/complete Chinese bear & fossil literature no? Given the population and history of bears in China I am not aware of any comprehensive cataloging of morphological data for extant and extinct bears?

Ok,I found that even the second longest skull in the table:NO.75044 is in fact also a brown bear.Chinese zoologists made some mistakes there, carelessly put these two specimen into Black bears.
